Hyaluronic Acid (HA) - it's what naturally keeps our skin and other tissues healthy and supple. It's also a popular ingredient in several injectable fillers, such as JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®. Wouldn't it be nice if you could get a little hyaluronic acid bump every day to keep your skin looking young? Now you can with Teoxane!
Teoxane is the only cosmeceutical skincare brand with crossed linked Hyaluronic Acid. Their patented RHA (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid™) goes beyond traditional Hyaluronic Acid and allows the product line to gradually release its active ingredients.
“Their product line was developed in Geneva, Switzerland and has been popular in Europe for many years,” says Dr. Jeremy Pyle. "We're pretty excited that we can now get it in the United States, and we're truly impressed with the results."
Teoxane is a great skin care line for every skin type, and most patients will see noticeably smoother skin just from using the products. The cross linked HA is designed to change how light reflects and refracts off the skin, making it look smoother immediately. It also works well in conjunction with BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers.
Our Teoxane Skin Care Tips
For the most hydrated and radiant skin, we developed our own protocol using Teoxane and another great skincare line, Avène. Our staff started following each application of Teoxane with Avène Thermal Spring Water spray. This added to the hydration factor by giving the RHA additional water to bind with, boosting moisture in the skin even further.
“I use our Vectra 3D skin analysis to asses a patient's skin texture and pore size. We apply the product, and immediately see a smoother texture and smaller pores. The skin really looks great after about two weeks,” adds Dr. Pyle. Vectra 3D is a system that captures and measures UV spots, brown spots, red areas, and wrinkles.
Hydration is extremely important to the skin following all resurfacing and laser treatments. Teoxane has been a great addition to our aftercare packages for Fraxel® laser resurfacing, Clear & Brilliant treatments and even chemical peels and facial extractions. “It cuts down on post-treatment redness faster than any other product I’ve used,” says our Nurse Injector, Andrea Crane.
We even starting trying the Teoxane Deep Repair balm on patients with extremely dry and sensitive skin due to Accutane. They are getting incredible nourishment and moisture with a soothing and affordable product.
